Neues Schutzenhaus in Wiesbaden

The goose legs, red cabbage and dumplings I picked up there were perfect. Everything was very fresh and delicious

For Christmas we had a goose with a knuckle, red cabbage, chestnut sauce and baked apples. Food was good, the pick-up date worked out well. I can recommend the place.

The trip to the Oktoberfest was a great success. Attentive service and a nice atmosphere. We would love to come back.

The new Schützenhaus has a beautiful, idyllic beer garden. The offer is quite manageable and corresponds to that of a beer garden, the prices are cheap. We were there in the evening during the week, there was little going on, the service and the kitchen were not busy, food and drinks were quickly prepared and served. We were served by a young man who was friendly and helpful, but his female colleague, who is also young, can still learn a lot in the service area of ​​a restaurant. I ordered a hunter schnitzel with fries. The portion size was okay, but the sauce looked like a ready-made sauce, the mushrooms were out of the can and the fries were saggy. I had hoped for more and was disappointed with the food. For the children we had chicken nuggets and Viennese with fries. The chicken nuggets were delicious and probably homemade too. The children were happy. For me it is always incomprehensible when restaurants, especially with ketchup and mayo, fall back on the disposable sachets and charge each individual portion separately. A simple and inexpensive solution are small bowls, which can be refilled at the guest's request without any additional charge. A lot in gastronomy revolves around pleasant service. In my opinion, ketchup and mayonnaise are always part of the desire to have children. Especially in companies that strive for a family-friendly image, this has now arrived at most restaurants. In fact, many even offer reduced-sugar ketchup for the kids, for example. And if the margin is too tight because you order two extra packages as a guest, then maybe the dishes should simply be increased by 20 cents per dish. At least the children got a wrapped biscuit as a present after dinner. The new Schützenhaus is certainly a point of contact for riflemen and walkers who come by and stop by spontaneously, but for visitors who drive out to eat by car, it's a bit disappointing overall, as it's all around Wiesbaden - or within easy reach, if you have to go by car anyway - but there are some more attractive offers.

This place can be accurately described as excellent. That would hit the mark!

Was there last Saturday, wanted to eat something. Everywhere stop signs with "please wait, someone is about to come". After waiting forever for the first one, we went towards the restaurant. Again a stop sign. Shouted out loud several times to be assigned a table in the sparsely occupied garden. No reaction whatsoever. So you don't get any new guests ... Then moved on hungry. Hence only one star.

Music in the garden is a must for my husband and me every Sunday. Great garden, nice service, delicious food with changing live music. Can there be anything more beautiful? I don't think so. Clear recommendation from me.

Pereonally very slow, uneducated and sometimes even mushy. Basically good food. Our noodles were a little too salty and floated in the oil.

We have been here for the second time an excellent Christmas meal with family experience. The goose plus side dishes was perfect, the atmosphere comfortable and the service exemplary. It was a pleasure!

Cozy atmosphere, lots of locals. Nice and fast service. And it tastes wonderfully authentic.

The interior is very nice and cosy but the food was way too salty and it was just not tasty. Won’t come back here again.
